Songs of Glimmerwick: Fishing Guide
Buy and equip a Fishing Rod, cast toward a visible fish from shore, hook on the bite prompt, then complete the rhythm sequence accurately. Version 1.09 specifically fixes a fishing issue after switching between controller and mouse and keyboard.
Get the rod and cast
The cited fishing guide says Mel or Lusina sells the Fishing Rod. Equip it, stand at fishable water near a visible fish, and cast toward the fish. It reports that casting uses mana and that you cannot start while swimming, so move onto a nearby shore or supported fishing bridge first. In October 1 Steam replies, players identify the merchant as Mel’s Shell south of Wick, past the grumpy bush; one reports that a side quest is needed to access that area. The replies do not give a game build.
Hook the bite and finish the notes
Wait for the exclamation prompt after casting, then click or press A while it is showing to hook the fish. A launch-week player describes timing repeated presses of one button with the rhythm prompts. The community guide reports that the score must be more than 85%, so exactly 85% does not count; cancelling also fails the attempt. A player reported a missing controller target and described the mouse input path. Version 1.09 fixed a fishing issue when switching between controller and mouse and keyboard, but its notes do not identify that missing-target report as the same issue.
