Songs of Glimmerwick: How to Get Cut Grass
Use a Scythe on grass clumps to collect Cut Grass. Buy the tool from Kavita, equip it and press Space at grass; two Cut Grass and one Twig are used for Potion of Hardiness.
Get and equip the Scythe
Kavita sells the Scythe at the Wisk market. Weki's item table, labeled through version 1.08b, lists its price as 65 Gold Petals in all seasons. Put the Scythe in your hotbar and equip it; see the Scythe guide for its other uses and mana note.
Cut a grass clump
With the Scythe equipped, stand by a grass clump and use Space on the keyboard. Eastshade's version 1.03 notes recommend equipping the tool and pressing Space; that update also allows the slower method of hovering the Scythe item over grass. Check the item you collect for the name Cut Grass. If a target does not respond, check the selected tool and your current key binding rather than assuming every patch of ground is harvestable.
Keep some for Potion of Hardiness
The item database lists Cut Grass as a gathered ingredient. Its Potion of Hardiness recipe uses two Cut Grass and one Twig, so keep the grass itself if you are gathering for brewing. The Scythe is the tool; Cut Grass is the ingredient obtained from cutting.
