Songs of Glimmerwick Swimwear: Spring 14 Ferry and Diving Routes
A readable guide reports that Dee's Spring 14 ferry trip to the Seaflower Festival gives the Wetsuit Outfit, but inspected footage shows dialogue and a scene cut only. Weki's 1.08b item entry says that exact item cannot be obtained normally. A separate Japanese walkthrough says to talk to the festival judge, dive at bubble spots, and receive the distinct Merfolk Outfit. Both entries are classified as swimwear; no source says they are the same item. After swimming and diving unlock, NoobFeed says you do not need to wear a wetsuit.
Try the reported Spring 14 ferry route
On Spring 14, go to the beach ferry and accept Dee's offer to travel to the Seaflower Festival. A directly readable guide reports that the ferry trip gives a Wetsuit Outfit. In HausofZombies Part 6, the in-game dialogue offers the ferry, then Dee says, “You'll need one of these”; the scene cuts to black before the festival appears. The hotbar is visible before and after the cut, with no obvious new item, but the full inventory is never opened. There is no visible handoff, grant notification, or readable suit label. Treat the ferry reward as an attributed guide report to try, not a visually confirmed receipt.
A separate festival route gives the Merfolk Outfit
For a separately named swimwear item, a directly read Japanese walkthrough's Spring 14 festival steps say to speak with the judge, play the diving minigame by diving at bubble spots, and receive a Merfolk Outfit. Weki also lists Merfolk Outfit as Swimwear and says it is given during a villager conversation. This is a practical route to the Merfolk Outfit; it does not establish that it is the ferry's Wetsuit Outfit or that it unlocks the same sea access. Check the school calendar for the dated festival. The Cozy Gaming Club footage does not confirm the prize: its visible festival award dialogue is about donating the most flowers, and the named winner is the garden keeper. It shows no diving-contest reward or Merfolk item label.
You do not need to wear it after unlocking swimming
Weki lists Wetsuit Outfit and Merfolk Outfit as distinct item entries and classifies both as Swimwear. Its Wetsuit Outfit page says the item cannot be obtained in normal play and scopes its data to 1.08b, which conflicts with the ferry guide's named handoff. The official 1.09 notes mention a separate Fern's Confrontation/Seaflower Fest conflict fix but no swimwear acquisition change; this does not settle the item question. NoobFeed says you do not need to wear a wetsuit after swimming and diving are unlocked. Eastshade's public-demo reply only says water wear is obtained later and absent from the demo.

- Songs of Glimmerwick — How to Get the Bathing SuitDirectly opened and read the full guide, especially “Reach Spring 14,” “Travel to the Seaflower Festival,” and “Keep the Wetsuit Outfit in your inventory” (lines 48–65). It reports the ferry-operator handoff, item name, inventory use, sea gate, and earlier lake diving. Updated October 7, 2026; no author, game build, or first-hand method is shown. The site's About page describes the resource as independent; use this as an attributed guide report.
- The Cozy Gaming Club — One Month of Songs of Glimmerwick: Magic School RPG Gameplay OverviewThe public video was sampled from local cached frames at absolute 31:14–31:30 and 32:26–33:54. In the dorm scene Clover wears a pale dotted suit and the in-game dialogue asks the player, “Where's your wetsuit?”; the player remains in a robe. Later D offers the festival ferry and the scene cuts to Seaflower. Aya comments on diving suits, but neither the ferry sequence nor later frames show an item handoff or full suit label. The inventory/appearance screen around 33:00 has Fishing Rod selected. The sampled award scene says the prize is for donating the most flowers and names the resident garden keeper; it is not visual evidence of the diving contest or a Merfolk Outfit reward. Captions and narration were not used as proof. The footage states no game build.
- HausofZombies — Songs of Glimmerwick, Part 6: Seaflower FestivalThe cached public video was visually inspected from 14:32–15:19, including every half-second frame around the ferry interaction. Dee asks whether to ferry the player to the festival, the dialogue offers Yes/Not yet, and after the choice Dee says “You'll need one of these.” The image cuts to black, then the festival appears at about 15:09.5. Hotbar views before and after show no obvious new item, but the full inventory is never opened. There is no visible handoff, grant notification, or readable swimwear label. This supports the ferry conversation and scene transition only, not the named reward. Captions were not used as evidence.
- Weki.gg — Wetsuit OutfitThe original item page labels Wetsuit Outfit as Swimwear but says “This item can't be obtained in normal play.” Its footer scopes the database to game version 1.08b. This conflicts with the later festival guide/player report; the checked 1.09 announcement does not resolve the discrepancy.
- Weki.gg — Merfolk OutfitThe directly read item page lists a distinct named Merfolk Outfit, classifies it as Swimwear, and says it is given during a villager conversation. The page is scoped to version 1.08b. This is a separate catalog entry from Wetsuit Outfit; it does not identify Dee's ferry item.
- 組員サブロー — Songs of Glimmerwick Story Walkthrough (Japanese)Directly read the Spring 14 Seaflower Festival section (lines 162–170). It says to talk to Fern for Sandcastle Jingle, speak with the judge, play the diving minigame by diving at bubble spots, and receive the Merfolk Outfit. The page is dated October 1 and updated October 12, 2026; it gives no game build or recording of the item handoff. Treat it as an attributed written walkthrough route, distinct from the Wetsuit Outfit ferry claim.
- Weki.gg — AchievementsThe page says its achievement checks are read from game code, but its Festival of Plenty entry is internally inconsistent: its displayed achievement description says to win the flower contest, while the expanded check text says win the diving contest and the judge gives the Merfolk Outfit. The page footer currently scopes its data to version 1.08b. Because the Japanese walkthrough provides the practical diving route separately, this ambiguity is not used as the sole route evidence.
- NoobFeed — Songs of Glimmerwick Beginner's GuideThe live article returned HTTP 200 and its “Visit the Swimming Pool for Extra XP” body section was read directly. It says that after swimming and diving are unlocked, you do not need to wear the wetsuit. Published October 14, 2026; no game build stated.
- Eastshade Studios — Water wear for Bathhouse (public-demo reply)Read the Steam discussion body and developer reply dated June 8: water wear is obtained later and is absent from the demo. This establishes only the public-demo limit, not the full-game route.
- Eastshade Studios — Version 1.09 announcementThe official October 28, 2026 patch announcement was checked for swimwear or sprinkler-relocation changes; it lists no such change. This patch-scope check is not a 1.09 gameplay test.
