Songs of Glimmerwick: Nessa’s Curse Walkthrough
Start Nessa’s Curse from the Common Room gossip beginning Fall 1, ask Nessa about tutoring hours, and follow the later sick-day and night-lab scenes. Detention with Nessa awards the Potion of Speed recipe and opens Forbidden Potions.
Begin with the students’ request in the Common Room
The quest guide places the opening from Fall 1: Mary, Davin and Clover are discussing Nessa’s tutoring hours. Offer to ask her, find Nessa in the Potions Lab and keep the conversation going until you ask about her office hours. Return to Mary and report what Nessa said. The guide notes a separate Dorm Hall invitation on Fall 3 if the quest has not yet started; its page does not state a game build.
Wait for the later morning and night scenes
After reporting back, check the quest log and wait for a later morning with no other calendar event; the walkthrough says Clover is then sick in the dorm living room. A later night, Clover asks you to take her completed potion essay to the lab. Follow the scene through Clary’s office. The guide says blaming Nessa changes a later line only, so it does not identify that reply as a different quest reward.
Finish detention to receive the recipe
After the detention letter arrives, meet Nessa in Yellow Hall at the scheduled time and complete the conversation. The guide says this finishes Nessa’s Curse, awards the Potion of Speed recipe and 5 XP, and opens Forbidden Potions. The quest scene does not by itself prove the classmates’ earlier suspicion was correct; use the named quest and log rather than treating “Nessa’s Curse” as proof of a separate curse mechanic.
Version 1.09 reports a general Fall-classmate fix
Eastshade’s Version 1.09 announcement says it fixed an issue with classmates being missing in Fall. It does not name Nessa’s Curse or promise that every quest trigger is repaired. The announcement is the only 1.09 check here; the quest walkthrough itself was last edited 6 Oct 2026 and was not replayed on that build.
