An English-speaking player described Chris as an older student working near the town garden who sells the Sorrowspore tea for 50 Gold Petals. A Japanese player’s quest journal locates the seller at Petal Leaf Tea and records paying 50 for the same cure. The unofficial English reference labels the vendor Chrys and describes that same quest and price. The matching distinctive task supports identifying this seller as Chrys, but no official statement that Chris is an alias was found.
Ask for the right tea
For Sorrowspore, the Japanese player records speaking with Gilio, visiting the tea seller and buying the cure for 50 Gold Petals. Tea for Fern is a different errand: their other quest record describes exchanging an Instagrow potion for ginger tea to deliver to Fern. Check your journal before buying or handing over the wrong tea.
Understand the name evidence
The Japanese source writes the name クリス; it does not itself spell the English name Chris or Chrys. Chris is the spelling in an English player’s post, while Chrys is the spelling in a fan reference labeled up to 1.08b. The identification is an inference from the same vendor and 50-petal quest, not proof of an official alias or a current 1.09 localization. Exact daily hours were not independently verified.
